Redhawk Radio's exec team has got you covered for festive tunes this season. Start streaming our staff's holiday picks playlist on Spotify and take a peek at why these songs jingle our bells!

Joe Hayden, General Manager — Fall Out Boy, "Yule Shoot Your Eye Out":

It's just the perfect blend of holiday festivity, acoustic, punk, and angst.

Marisa Vesel, Music Director — The Kinks, "Father Christmas":

It's one of my all-time favorite Christmas songs. It's not a "traditional" Christmas song by any stretch, but it reminds me of all the holiday traditions that my family and I have. This Kinks song is from one of the Christmas albums that my family plays every year, and it's been a favorite for as long as I can remember because of all the good memories associated with it.

Claire Stemen, Senior Editor — Rufus Wainwright & Sharon Van Etten, "Baby It's Cold Outside":

I'm sorry but I'm a sucker for the legendary vocal skills of Rufus Wainwright and this is the only version of this song that isn't whisper-in-your-ear creepy. I think it's probably because Rufus is my god and he has a higher range, and Sharon Van Etten is pulling off the alto-deep version of an indecisive woman in love, so sue me.

Jonathan Reiter, Social Chair — Vince Gill, "It Won't Be The Same This Year":

Vince Gill wrote this song for his brother who passed away after dealing with a lifetime of complications from a severe car crash. It was released on his 1993 album Let There Be Peace On Earth and explains how Christmas has never been the same since his passing.

Allison Beer, Website Manager — Sufjan Stevens, "Come On! Let's Boogey to the Elf Dance":

Sufjan is the king of Christmas music (try to name someone else who has recorded over 100 songs for the holiday), and this is one of his best tracks. It's full of whimsy and holiday joy, and it's a great non-traditional song to add some charm to your festive playlists.
