Paranoid Cocoon, the second album by the Maryland band Cotton Jones, is a wonderfully crafted album that flows effortlessly from song to song. Blending various 60’s pop influences, the band features a combination of male and female vocals to produce their stylized sound. But what really stands out is how Cotton Jones has perfected the art of mixing the melancholy with the cheerful into catchy late-night jams. Songs like “Gotta Cheer Up” demonstrate their groovy side, while “Blood Red Sentimental Blues” is a moodier reflective piece. Highly Recommended.
