Steven Perkins

Steven Perkins is a senior from Fort Myers, Florida and is a double major in Journalism and Sports Leadership and Management. This is his fourth year calling Miami Sports. He enjoys playing and watching all sports, but hockey is king. He coaches and plays on campus as well as works at the rink.

Hans Juste

Hans Juste is a senior from Cincinnati, Ohio. He is a double major in Media & Culture and Small Business Management. Hans loves watching, playing and arguing about all sports, but basketball is his favorite. He is in his second year broadcasting Miami Sports, focusing mostly on Men's and Women's basketball.


Kenny Schierlinger

Kenny Schierlinger from Daytona Beach, Florida. Transferred to Miami University after spending time at Michigan State University and Florida State University. Worked as a student manager for both Michigan State’s and Florida State’s football programs as well as a Student Coach with Miami University’s Football program. Majoring in sport management with an emphasis in sport broadcasting.


Houston Vick

Houston Vick is a junior sports journalism major from Nashville, Tennessee. He is a diehard Atlanta Braves fan, but he loves following the entire MLB. Houston has been broadcasting events since his high school years, where he commentated his high school’s football, baseball and basketball games. He never tires of any contest he is commentating, as he is always ready for the next exciting moment that lingers behind every pitch, tackle or shot. Houston also enjoys running, bulldogs, the theatre and video games.



Chris Vinel

Chris Vinel is a freshman journalism major from Cincinnati, Ohio. Ever since receiving his first pack of baseball cards as a seven-year- old, Chris has been obsessed with sports. He reads a distressing number of sports-related articles every day and is a huge fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Tampa Bay Rays, Cincinnati Bengals, and Miami Heat. Chris also covers the Miami men’s basketball and baseball teams for The Miami Student.


Bennet Wise

Bennett Wise is freshman from Warrenton, Virginia. He is double majoring in journalism and sport leadership and management, as he plans to become a play-by-play commentator of professional and college athletics. His broadcasting experience includes, play-by-play of men's and women's basketball, as well as baseball. Bennett also as a Sports Video Productions Student Crew Member for Miami University. This entails working to produce live broadcasts of MU athletic events for ESPN and stadium video boards. Bennett's positions for this job include: camera operator, Ross Xpressions Graphics Operator, and Production Assistant. He has also produced multiple articles for his hometown newspaper, FauquierNow
